About
What's the read is a board for seeing where a crowd stands on a public question, next to the market odds when those exist. You look for free. You can set a read without signing up.
It is not a tipster page, not a betting desk, and not a place to place a wager. The point is comparison: crowd on one side, odds on the other, kept separate and labeled.
Questions on the board come from Polymarket markets we follow. Odds refresh from that source. The page names the source and links out. The board still works if you only care about the crowd.
Each device keeps one current read per question. You can change it. Looking does not require a read. After you set one, your side stays obvious next to the crowd and the odds.
Over time the useful record is how the crowd moved versus the odds, including after a question resolves — not a personal streak or a smart score.
